Blairquhan Castle. Six lovely cottages to choose from. And all in a beautiful historic landscaped setting. There is a fascinating tree trail, a sheltered walled garden, ducks to admire, and fishing by arrangement on the River Girvan and estate lochs as well as tours of the Castle
Belstane Cottage. A semi-detached cottage with a large, shared garden and enjoying lovely views over the surrounding countryside. It is quietly situated next the owner’s home on the edge of the village. Sleeps 3, 1 kingsize bed and a single sofa bed.
Cloncaird Castle cottages. Just 3 miles from Straiton, stay in luxury in one of nine original Estate cottages newly renovated to offer luxurious designer interiors with under floor heating, oak panelled living areas, log fires, Brazilian slate and oak floors in a fabulously romantic setting.
Hazel Lodge B&B. Beautiful away-from-it-all location about half a mile from the village, up narrow lanes bordered with wild flowers. Lovely setting, flowers, a stream through the garden, two double bedrooms and a private bathroom. Contact Irene on 01655 770660.
Holly Tree Cottage. Right in the heart of the village, with a large open fire, sleeping 4, Holly Tree Cottage is the ideal place to stay for a romantic weekend, a walking, fishing or cycling holiday. No need to have a car! – shop, pub and cafe within yards.
Milton Blairquhan Estate borders the Girvan where it passes through fields and shady wooded gorges to the north of Straiton. Old Toll Cottage. In a lovely rustic setting by a stream, and with a lovely garden running down to the river. Bikes are available, and so is fishing of course! (permits from the shop). Sleeps 4
Rosebud Cottage. Located in village centre. lovely traditional cottage with open fire, double and single bedrooms, private garden with summerhouse and bicycle storage. Sleeps 3.
Groups are welcome to use the Show Field for camping; Brownies to Bikers have enjoyed weekends under canvas, though not at the same time! Next to the Show Field (behind the church and the village hall) there are public toilets open 24 hours, maintained by the village.
Walled Garden Campsite. Our nearest camping and caravan site: 6 miles on country roads. The quiet, secluded park is within the historic Kilkerran Estate, home of the Fergusson family. Surrounded by many specimen trees, the park is sheltered and a real suntrap in summer.

Crawfordston Cottage. Located near Kirkmichael and only 7 miles from Straiton. Spacious cottage with large sitting room, king-size bed, stylish kitchen, private sunny garden and eco-friendly pellet boiler. Sleeps 2. (Travel cot and single chair-bed available)
